My father and I did a day trip to East Lake at Dogwood. The bite was not happening on the East Lake. We did the started off cruising around the perimeter and then hitting the middle stumps. Tried Topwater, spinners and squarebills first thin and then moved to TX rigged plastics. It was slow fishing the majority of the day and we ended up culling 9 dinks and transferred to Rocky's livewell. We spoke with Rocky a bit and it has just been slow fishing lately. He mentioned that someone was fishing the West lake that same morning so when we broke for lunch, we went and meet the other member who had some decent success on the other lake. Overall, it was a fun trip even tho the big ones didn't want to play that day. We'll hope the East lake starts heating up for this summer as it did last year.

Overall conditions were: Calm to light winds, sunny, 50F in the morning to 82F in the afternoon, water clarity 18" to 24"

Cheers!

Exact same experience.  Beautiful property, but caught dinks and they were tiny.  Seemed like no grass, wonder if that makes them a little more skittish.
