My Father in law and I went to Hopkins lake Sunday afternoon.  It was extremely windy but fishing was very good.  The water temperature got up to high 50s in the shallow areas.  We caught 32 fish in about 5 hours.  About 8 were under a pound, approximately 20 were at 1 1/2-2 pounds and we caught another 3 bass around 3 pounds.  My father in law caught one that weighed 6.4 which is a great way to start the year.
This a a great place to fish.  We have been here 3 times and caught over 80 the first time with 5 being over 4 pounds and caught over 40 the second time.
