Fingerling
It was hot, no wind and blue bird skies. Thought they were going to be either deep or on the deeper side of the grass cover. I threw everything at them: top water early, frogs, swimbaits, jig, crankbait. All I could get is small ones on the senko. It wasn’t until almost 11am that I saw some swirls shallow. Threw a bluegill color weedless swimbait in shallow and pulled it threw the grass and caught three > 3.5 within 15 minutes. Left at noon w 20 total most of which were culls but the last hour of the day made up for the slow start.

Andy,
Thanks for the post. Glad they eventually turned on. Someone is going to stick a big fish here. We electrofished a 9lb+ a year ago. Probbably several fish bigger in this lake.
