I've never really had a bad day at this fishery. It keeps on turning out solid bass and lots of fun. My wife and I arrived at the lake by 7:30 am Monday morning and fished till noon. Had sun early and then clouds began to build around 10:00. Several 1-2 lb. fish early on baby bass senkos and then nothing for about an hour. Moved out to about 13 -15 ft. and began to find the bigger fish in the 3-4 lb. range on a black/white chatterbait with a white trailer. Finding the humps and depth changes on the graph was the key. As we fished our way back toward the launch ramp, a vintage Deep Wee R added several in the 1-2 lb. range. Total of 17 fish with largest right at 5 lb. The water was ultra-clear which made long casts more effective. Feeling blessed that my wife is willing to brave the 5:30 alarm and the summer heat to share a fun morning on the water. She always catches her share of the fish too!

Headed to 9G tomorrow with my new bride! It's awesome having a life partner that shares your love for fishing and being outdoors. Thanks for the report, we look forward to landing some good ones at 9G!

taking my wife to Lakeside this weekend.  She doesn't "love" to fish like I do, but she can handle 3-4 trips a year.  That's the main reason I joined PWF.  When I take her fishing, I want her to CATCH fish; no problem on most of the PWF lakes.

And it's really fun when a 4+ pound bass gets on the end of her line; priceless!!

I love 9G as well.  We spent a day out there and I think we caught 60+.  It's the only place where you get tired of catching 2-3 lb fish.  We had a lot of nice fish and I agree that the deep water and drops are the place to go.  If you want to dropshot or drag something, the Styrofoam marker in the middle of deep end is a good spot.  We spotted several large bass out there and caught several.  Unbelievably fun place to fish.
