Took my son and wife to 9G for our first trip to that lake. As soon as we got the boat in the water around 4:30 PM it started to rain….then POUR. We braved the elements and 35 minutes later got on the fish. Got over 20+ in about 4 hours, most of them in the deeper waters and on the drops near the dam. Caught 3 fish over 5lbs and the majority of others were in the 1-3 lb range and were great fighters. Very little topwater action even after the rain, but what did work were tx rigged senkos, 10.5 inch monsters and chatterbaits. Looking forward to getting back out for a full day soon.
