Fished Black Hat on Thursday afternoon / evening - air temp was 103 at the start, water 92 (though it was at least cloudy with a slight breeze). The last time I fished here was in January with the temp in the low 40’s, so have tried the two extremes. Lake is about full with visibility about 18-24 inches, noticeably more cloudy in the shallow end. Was classic summer fishing, nothing doing for the first 5 hours, except for one micro dink about the size of my rattle trap…. Threw the tackle box, but they weren’t interested. Then at 7:30 they started feeding, caught 5 in 30mins on top water (chug bug) and freelined senkos, mostly along the dam - largest was 3.5lb. Then at 8:00 they abruptly shut off - went home at 8:45. Black Hat is a pretty and peaceful spot, really enjoyed being outside for the day
