We fished pasture lake 3/1. Never the most picturesque lake in the club, it can produce numbers of strong 2 to 5lb. bass that really perform. Arrived at noon to find one boat submerged and the other 1/2 full of water. The lake void of vegetation, muddy with an alge bloom. Not a pretty picture. Walked the bank and picked up 4 nice fish and decided to give a go. We bowed the back and bailed. Set off to find the fish scattered and uninterested. Finished with a dozen or so typical pasture lake fighters, but had to work hard to get those. Left one boat dry, one a reef, and with the hope that time will heal this fishing spot.

I have fished this spot twice, once in the spring and once in the summer (a few years ago). In the e springtime the lake was also void of vegetation and the fishing was poor. I tried again in the summer and the lake had quite a few lilly pads. I fished plastics off of the pads and had great results.
