Fry
Fished Thursday p.m. Mar 3 and all day Friday, Mar 4.
1st cast 1st fish (3 lbs) on White Terminator w/ Gold Indiana blade. Only spinner bait fish that afternoon. Switched to Horney toad fished in the pads and picked up 2 more bass. Fish were scattered and hitting throughout the water column, mostly buck bass in 2#-3# range. Friday morning was slow, as we tried to find a pattern, but late afternoon, ahead of a Pacific cold front, the numbers picked up. Boated about 40 buck bass in the 2# - 3.5# range primarily along the outside edge of the pads. Best bait was Wave Worm Fluke in LSU colors, fished in jerk retrieve. Fished this lake about 3 years ago and the fluke worked very well in white. Facilities and hospitality at this location are very good. Be sure to ask the owner about the local wildlife and the game management program at this high fence ranch.
