Fished on 3/17 with member Craig Awtrey and it was cold first thing in the mourning, mid 30's. There was fog on the lake for a few hours before we could really see the entire lake. We caught 8 total fish and culled 3. We caught a fish here and there with no definite pattern. The best baits were slow moving like senkos and creature baits. We tried everything in the box but they did not want moving baits. Biggest fish went 9 lb. 7 oz. and nothing over 3 lbs. besides that fish.

Fished with a guest and good friend James Doonkeen on 3/19 and conditions were pretty much the same, just a little warmer. Still could not find fish in the pockets where they should be the day before a full moon in spring. The majority of fish caught both days was on or near the main lake. We caught 12 and culled 3, biggest went 6 lbs. 13 oz.

Florida bass do not like unstable weather, especially in the spring and fall. Every fish caught was fat, healthy, and fought well. Mr. Yates is a great host and this is a top notch property. I would recommend this site to all club members.   I will go back under more stable conditions.
