Fished 1/2 day morning after strong storms the night before. Outside temperature in low to mid-60s. Overcast with periods of mixed sun. Light rain turning heavy last hour. Multiple wind shifts. Fished whopper plopper, soft plastics, and medium-depth crankbait. All fish (7) caught on plastics rigged wacky (1) and Texas (6). Topwater bite was not present this morning. Largest fish (4.8lb) caught in cove just north of the Texas-shaped pool. Others caught tight to timber near northwest corner and along western bank. Reports of muddy entry road accurate--need 4x4 after heavy rain. Boat has slight leak, so bring a cup or pump if you will be on water all day.
