Fished sunup to about 6 on Sunday. Partly cloudy with sustained winds. Water temp 69. Visibility a couple feet. Worked topwater for the first couple hours. Only landed one on a whopper plopper. At least a dozen attempted strikes, but the bass were missing. Slowed retrieve, switched to a popper, then a buzz w/trailer hook without any luck. A bit frustrating. Caught a handful on jigs in the timber, but most came on a chatterbait scattered around the lake near grass. Even the culls (6 of them) were fighters. Only one true dink. 10 over three pounds. One four. Biggest went 5.30 right by the boat launch. Saw a couple monster carp. Great long day on the water. Will certainly be back.
