I fished Tuesday Apr 30; high in the 70s and very very windy.  The winds layed down a little in the afternoon, however, so I was able to fish the main body of the lake some.  The big bass weren't biting for me today - biggest was only 3lbs 6oz.  Caught them on wacky senkos and bladed jigs, and a couple on a whopper-plopper.  Totals:  21 bass and 18 crappie.

For some reason there were quite a few water snakes out Tuesday.  Maybe love is in the air.

Hi Eric,

Thanks for the report.  Where & how did you catch the crappie?  Were they decent size?

Bryan - The crappie were around the sunken boat, and I caught at least one that measured right at 15 1/2".  The rest were assorted sizes.  I just used jigs.  There may be a lot more crappie elsewhere in the lake, but I haven't looked for them.

I’ll try to catch some of those crappie next time I’m out there.  But that’s hard to do when the bass are biting!
