Fished nearly half a day on Sunday July 7. It was my 4th straight day fishing in the Texas July heat, so I was less motivated than usual. Still managed to catch 18 (11 of which were healthy harvests), but nothing of size. The bass were either shallow in the grass (pretty much any soft plastic worked) or out in the open chasing shad (any shad imitating lure worked). Even the dinks' bellies were fat and full of shad. Unfortunately I didn't catch any big girls, but will be back in the fall and next spring. Best part of the day was chatting with Mr. Yates as I was loading up. If you haven't fished this property, it is an absolute must.
