Fished Ashworth on 3/26, lost count after 42. That was 10:00 AM. I must have caught over 150 fish and lost twice as many that jumped off. They ranged from 12” to 16” on average with one going 17"and one 18”. I left them biting because my thumb was bleeding from lippin’ em. After catching so many fish, the 15 & 16 in. fish feel alot bigger than they are towards the end of the day. The 5 grass carp I saw in this pond were massive, minimum 50 lbs. Swim jig worked all day, color didn’t matter.

With managment the florida strain could be awsome here. They love clear water and they all fought well. I guess that’s up to the land owner though.

Hey Brian, Did you use the boat there? Does it still leak? What was the water level like?

Jon,
I float tubed the first few hours and then bank fished the rest of the day due to the wind. The water level looked fine and fish were all over the lake. It looked like the weeds can get real thick in summer though. The only deep water I found was near the dam, and I caught less there than the other parts of the tank.
