Fished Athens NE from about 9:30 to 12:30 with fellow member Grant Robinson on Saturday. The weather was strange for early August. Cloudy, humid, and intermittent sprinkling rain. Temp never got above 85. The bass didn't seem to be in a feeding/chasing mood, and all of our fish came on reaction bites. Grant caught a few healthy bass by throwing a chatterbait into pockets devoid of vegetation near the dam. If there was a bass in the pocket, it would hit it instantly. I caught my only bass of the day that weighed less than the burger I ate on the way home. Tough day but had a good time.
