My son Phillip, grandson Chase and I fished Gallant Elm Creek Sunday, October 27, 2019. A cold front had moved thru a couple of days before so it was a sunny and cool day. The wind picked up about mid morning so we fished the protected water. We fished for about 3 hours before we tied on Rat-L-Traps and started catching fish. We ended up with 13 culls and my son released 3 between 16" and 17". We fished until 4:00 PM that afternoon. This is a beautiful lake to fish and this is the third time we have fished it. We are new to bass fishing which is the reason for our low numbers but we are having a great time and this is a good lake to learn on. We will be back as soon as deer hunting season is over.
