Ron Dupree and I fished Boatwright Lake on the 10th.  The lake is in good shape, almost full with clean stained water and with less surface vegetation than I remembered. The provided 14' boat is wide and roomy (and heavy). The bass seemed to relate more to the submerged grass than to flooded timber or the shoreline.  We found numbers rather than size with 31 of 44 bass harvested.  The returned bass were all 14-15" and were healthy-looking.  Wacky worms were the best lure with small crankbaits, chatterbaits, beetle spins, Rat-L-traps, and jerkbaits also delivering.  This is a fun and secluded place to enjoy a day fishing.
