I fished SW Weston December 5 from 11:00 to 4:30. It was windy with a steady 12-16 mph wind from the southwest making it a two anchor day for sure. Spent a good bit of time dealing with braid backlash as you can imagine. The air temp was 60-72 degrees and the water temp 52 degrees. The lake is full with the recent rains and the water clear with visibility at 24 inches.

I caught a single bass about 12" on a watermelon fluke in the northeast corner by the old fence poles. I tried Texas and wacky rigged trick worms, cranks, spinnerbait, swimjigs, paddle tails, rattle traps, chatterbaits, flukes, search 360, C rigged brush hogs, and drop shot, all without success.

I could not find the fish on electronics or by search bait.

My only real excitement was when I impaled my hand with a large treble reaching into my tackle box! Lucky for me, the entry caused a bit of a laceration rather than a clean puncture so the barb released without problem.
