Cool start to the day with the temperatures still in the 40's when I arrived around 10am. First time on the lake so i paddled around in my kayak for a while to understand the water depths and bottom contour. Managed to catch 4 nice fish on a drop shot rig, 4in pumpkin w/ chartreuse tail, ranging from 2.25lbs-3.0lbs. All fat and healthy. Caught one dink about .5lbs. Lost a couple others on wacky worm. Water temp ranged from 56-58 degrees. It was partly sunny with a light SE breeze, and the outside temps climbed into the 60's by the time I left around 3pm. Talked to the owner for a little while as he was doing some tractor work in the adjacent field. Nice guy. Overall a good February day on the water.
