Went 2/29 to Blackjack with a good friend.  Went early and started at 6:30 am to avoid the wind later in the day.  Caught a total of 16 fish, with 13 culled.  The 3 over the slot limit were about 2.5 lbs each.  Caught the fish all over the lake, but none right on the bank.  All were caught either on a TRW or chartreuse spinner bait.  Used these most of the trip to avoid the weeds, which are pretty prevalent just under the surface of the water.  If you ran the spinner bait fast enough you could avoid getting salad on the lure, and that's what most of the fish were caught on.  Water isn't 60 degrees yet, and the fish don't appear to be spawning.

Decided to quit just before 11:00 am when the fishing slowed down and the wind picked up, and headed to Snow's BBQ in Lexington about 15 minutes away.  If you've never been there, you really should try it.  It's a BBQ icon in Texas, and worth the trip, especially if you're so close.  Here's the trick though - It's only open on Saturday, and only open until 2:00, or until they run out of food.  When we got there at around 11:30, they had everything but chicken and pork shoulder left.  We got ribs to eat there and brisket to take home.  The ribs were excellent!  Oh, and we didn't have any, but the beer is free!
