A good outing Thurs. 21st. Started at noon and it was overcast and the water was like glass, no wind which is unusual around here lately. Lake is in good shape and hydrilla is starting to come in around the shoreline. First hour I was skunked and not used to fishing this lake without the wind blowing 20-30 mph. This apparently had the fish doing strange things with little movement on the water. I made some adjustments and found the fish and pattern. This trip had more fish above the slot than under which means the harvesting of smaller fish is working. I ended up only keeping 5 under 14” and with 9 above 14”. Of the 9, 4 were between 4-6lbs. Good, solid and healthy bass
. Well the clouds lifted and the sun and wind hit around 3pm and I was literally blown off the water and actually had to wade the boat along the shoreline back to the ramp for the wind had me pinned along the dam unable to get the boat back on the main lake with the hydrilla thick along the shore. I still had a blast and if it wasn’t for the wind, I would have stayed longer. Key bait was 3” tube jig and standard jig and pig. I love this site for the convenience, the boat and quantity of bass you can catch. I have easily caught 30 bass here on a half day outing and they are great fighters. Once again, thanks Steve, another great trip.
