Property Name:

Total Fish: 44 (4 to 7 Pounds)

Lures: Z Craw, Deep Diving Cranks Baits (see photo), Chatter Baits, Senko's & Caroline Rigs

So glad to report that San Saba is in Pre Spawn Mode with the females full and ready to pop. The bite is still a little bit laid back with water temps needing a good week of warm sunshine. All in all the day was most enjoyable catching numerous fish between 4 and 7 pounds. Don't fish here if you don't like catching fish in this slot. Only culled 5 fish out of 44. These fish are in excellent shape and pull bigger than their true weight. I am attaching a few of the many pics taken throughout the day. Too many photos to choose from. The cabin is super comfortable and very roomy. What a great addition to an already awesome set up. The lake is 100% accessible with vegetation a non factor. We are sure that DD fish are lurking in this lake and someone will soon reveal photos to prove it. Just did not happen for us but no complaints here.  Can't wait to get back here soon. Great club value with great results for sure.

Wayne,

Glad you had a good time and enjoyed the new lodging. The grass has been sprayed twice and we have one more spraying to go. At this point 90% of the grass should be gone by mid April. Of course we want some grass left in the lake. We plan to add a few grass carp later this year to help maintain the grass to a minimum. As most of you know grass is a love/hate relationship with most fisherman. We love grass for what it does to grow fish, but too much grass makes it difficult to fish for them. Trying to find the right balance is huge.

Wayne, that's an awesome average weight per fish!  Great pics as well, thank you.  Hope to get to San Saba soon.
