Fished Gainesville yesterday afternoon- beautiful day, air temp in the 70's, steady SE breeze. Water temp started at 60, warmed to 65, so will not be long before they are on beds. Had to work for them. Nothing for the first 4 hours - tried the shallows with a senko and swim bait, TX rig and cranks on the humps, rattle trap…. not a bite. Then at 4:30 they switched on and caught 5 on a twitched senko over the weeds on the far side from the launch - best was 4lb, all looked very healthy and full of spawn. Had a nice visit with the owner at the end, great guy, he's clearly really committed to the fishery, going to fertilize today, just added some more FL strain bass. Really enjoyable afternoon
