Lures Used: soft plastics, Ned rigs and top water

Got to the lake at 7:30 and fished until 11:30.   Overcast and foggy with no wind starting out   Water clarity, 2-3 feet.  Could see fish coming to the surface so top water it was.  Second cast, boom, 3 pounder, and it was pretty much nonstop action for the next 2 hours.   Lots of 3-4 pounders and they seemed to take anything I threw at them.  Tried Ned rig for the first time and caught 4-5 although noticed the bite was subtle and they tended to swallow the hook.   Caught fish all over the lake but did see nesting near the two small "bayous".   Went back several times and caught 5 or so in the same spot.  Had a big girl in one of the bayous but she threw the hook near the boast, probably 6-7 lbs.   Bite slowed down once the sun came out at 10:00 or so but still catching fish till I called it a day.  Been to this property a couple of times but today was terrific, lots of fish with very good size.   Loved it and will be back!
