My Pops and I went out to Yates Place on Friday April 22nd. It was a nice sunny day with a constant wind ranging from 15 to 30 mph. The accommodations and Yates and his family were great. the fishing was not quite on due to the strong wind. We threw everything we had at them, the only thing they bit on were red senkos. we harvested 4 under the slot limit and caught one 5.50 Lb. We would have loved to pull in some more but all in all it was a good day to be out on the water. Yates truly has a wonderful place out in the piney woods of East Texas and I look forward to going back when the wind may not be such a factor.
