March 24, 2020 - Started off slow because of the wind and possibly the colder weather for two days prior to our outing, but boy it picked up. We caught 48 fish in total and only 4 culls! All of the fish we were catching were between 3lbs - 5lbs but caught one that was 6.3. If you are looking to catch a lot of good fighters and enjoy the beautiful scenery (turkeys everywhere) then try this lake out! Almost every fish was caught on worm or light green lizard - both early and late afternoon.

That is a fantastic day of fishing and one that most will not have. Catching that many solid fish is not common. For those of you who have not fished this lake, you are missing something. There are days open in April while the temps are cool.
I have fished the lake dozens of times and I like late May through early July. I have had my best days in June with crankbaits on sunny/partly sunny days and black buzz baits on cloudy days.
