I fished Yates Place for 3 hours on Wednesday April 28th with aquatic vegetation guru Kelly Duffie. Kelly is considered by many to know more about aquatic vegetation and its control methods than just about anybody in the U.S. Kelly is the guy that the lake managment experts hire when they get stumped. Kelly and I had been reviewing a lake close by to Yates Place. Anyway, we landed only 4 fish in the 3 hours. But they were 3.12, 4.7, 5.4, and a 7.6. We lost another 4 or 5 lber at the boat. We caught them in the channel of the lake with a white lateral pearch and a Jig’s with a Lake Fork Magic Shad trailer.
