Arrived at Bennet at noon and found the lake to be higher than I have seen, clearer than expected and a crew of roofers on the house. A good solid 16" fish came within the first ten casts and I thought the bite was going to be as fast as the nail guns being used on the roof.  While it was a good day all fish had to be worked for and were caught on a variety of baits.  I saw lots good bass cruising around in the really clear water(4-5' visibility) but as expected were very spooky.  The two best fish were caught on beds and took many repeated casts with worm to get a reaction.  Saw several other beds but mostly males guarding.
