My first trip to this great place.  Caught 64 bass - only 8 under the harvest size.  Largest fish was 6.4 and second largest was 5.8 ounces - probably four fish in the 4lb range and around six fish in the 3lb range.  No clearly identifiable pattern to report.  Most fish were caught on swimbaits in open water while drifting in the wind.  Fish were thin (post-spawn) on average, but certainly not skinny or unhealthy.  I would guesstimate the larger fish would have been a pound (or more) heavier prior to their spawn.

As this was my first trip I can’t comment on what “normal” is, but the vegetation is pretty thick in both ends of the lake.  Very nice, extra-wide and stable jon boat with pedestal seating and foot controled motor for your use.  Lodge is rustic, but as old timey cool as they come.

A great lake and a scenic place in general.  Absolute, total seclusion.
