Damita and I fished Black Hat from 2:30-7:30.  Caught 18 of which 11 were crappie and 1 was a 4lb channel cat that Damita caught with a GoGo Minnow on an ultralight.  That was a pretty good fight!  The largest fish was a 2lb 14oz bass. 

The water temp was 63 degrees and clarity of about 12 inches. Weather was almost pefect with a light wind until late.

Damita out fished me with her GoGo Minnow catching 12 to my 6. 

Saw a beaver ( yes, beaver not a nutria. Had a big flat tail and was three times the size of a nutria) and several deer, (does and yearlings).

Lots of water vegetation made fishing some areas very difficult even with weedless plastics.
