Beautiful little lake with clear water, close to DFW and perfect for a half-day trip. Some weed growth, the thin thread-like kind that wraps around the hub of the motor prop. But can be pulled off easily and the lake is fishable. Met the owner Sam, very nice guy. Sam said the fish are smart and are tough to catch when the water is smooth like it was.

Caught 11 LMB between 14-17 inches. No culls. Caught most on crankbaits on the outer edges of the weeds and off-shore humps. Caught a few on TX-rigged plastics in shallow water. None on weightless worms or senkos or top water. I thought a spook would be in the bait for schooling fish with that clear water (to depths of 6 feet), but didn't see any schooling action and no takers on the spook.
