Fished with a guest 9 am to 1. It was following the cold front with high wind conditions. This was my first trip to this lake, but had previously fished the sister lake, Deer Valley before.

Prior reports indicated most fish came from the timber so that’s where we spent most of our time. We put probably 12 or more in the boat. Most were in the 2 1/12 to 3 pound range. Assorted colors of worms and lizards with about 4 fish added in on a chrome Rat-L-Trap in the more open water.

I liked this lake and the fish are plenty strong and healthy. They fight much harder for their size than I expected.

Good fishing my friends. It was great to get out again. I fished with an older friend I had not seen for years. What a great way to fellowship and to catch up….
