As a reward for bringing my granddaughter in town, I took my son-in-law for a morning outing to Dogwood East. We got on the water about 7 and were done by 1:30.  We fished along the bank and pulled out to fish areas of visible and submerged timber.  Most of the fish were off the bank in the timber. The day was beautiful but a bit windy ahead of a cold front.  Though we caught 26 cull fish, 20 of them were 15-16 inches and fought like twice that size.  The three returned fish were in the 4-5 pound range.  We could not find the really big ones but it was a great day of catching a boat load of fish in a short amount of time.  Of course, Rocky's place was immaculate as usual.
