Fished Grapeland Bennett and Lake Leon on Friday and Saturday with my friend Christopher from Atlanta.  Got stormed off Bennett Friday afternoon, but managed about 30 fish in the morning.  Talked to Tom, landowner at Lake Leon upon our arrival, who said the property had six inches of rain the night before.  So the lake was full, plus a bit, but still fairly clear and in great shape.  We caught about 65 fish, mostly in and around the pad edges, and a number from near the outflow - where activity was good all day.  Largest went about 6 lbs or so, and a couple of 5 pounders.  A special thanks to Tom and his folks, who worked to repair the rain-soaked ranch road while we fished - making our drive out a lot less worrysome.
