I fished from 1-7 on 5/19 at the beautiful Hickory Creek Ranch. Water was very green and fish were not as aggressive as previous trips, but they were still biting. I caught equal numbers of bass and crappie using slowly fished creature baits. Weather was warm and the light breeze all but died at about 6. Dark colors worked best. Best bite for bass was near the dam and best bite for crappie was near the dock.

Thanks for sending in the pictures of the really green water. That green water is a phyto Plankton bloom that was caused from the fertilizer added in late Spring. This green water really grows fish.
