Fished the AM with member Chris Casner.  Went out in his Bass Tender for a while but the wind really kicked up by 830-900.  I fished a 6-wt fly rod and had on a black/green size 8 woolly bugger…We were 10 feet from the east bank and I had the fly just hanging in the water as Chris trolled…I felt the tug of a fish when my fly was no more than 6 feet deep…this thing tugged and pulled strong and when I finally got it to the surface, I saw that it was a bluegill - the largest I have ever seen.  It was as wide as it was tall, and fought mightily.  I couldn't handle the wind in the boat so I had Chris take me to the pier.  The wind calmed down and I got some strikes on deerhair poppers and mouse patterns, but no caught fish.  Chris caught a couple of culls on conventional from the boat.  Not a bad day, just not a lot of fish.
