Fished Hill Country Ranch on Sunday morning, May 29, 20100 with my son.  We caught about 30 small bass with no size. We fished from the banks as it was too windy for the boats.  I fished the small lake for about 30 minutes and caught 3 fish that were larger than 14 inches.

I fish this property and Gallent Elms multiple times per year. If you would like a partner sometime, send me an e-mail at wfetech@2fastmail.com.

We are actively harvesting fish from Hill Country Ranch. When you fish this site please remove all bass 14” and smaller and report the harvest with us. Doing this can make a big difference at this lake. We need to remove at least 500 fish this year!

Okay Bill, next time I am at my other house in San Antonio, I will let you know.  The fish seem pretty small and underweight so I hated to even remove them.

When the fish are small and underweight is the main reason to remove them. The reason they they are small and underwieght is the food chain is not suffecient to support healthy growth. Removing 30 small and underweight fish will better support the remaining fish population. The only way to get them at normal weight is to increase the food chain and or remove the small and underweight fish. In the requirements section for each of our properties we indicate rather harvesting is requested. Tarpley Hill Country Ranch is in need of fish harvest. Please remove all bass 14” and smaller. We do not want to require this; but like any organization we are better as a group when everybody does their part to havest fish and the sites requested.
