It rained the prior night so the weather was very pleasant. We fished just over eight hours. Fishing was steady all day but never intense. We found the fish near bottom in open water. Tried an rattle trap and Pop-R. The Rattle Trap was difficult to fish with all the vegetation at all depths in the water. Pop-R had no hits. Had some luck on a Carolina rigged Shad D but best producing plastic was a 4 1/2" heart tail worm in perch color. We fished it weightless. After letting it sink we slow rolled it in. Beautiful fish with great fights. Of the 23 fish caught 19 were between 1.75 and 3.0 pounds. This is another fabulous property. Hope to fish it again.
