Fished 5/26/11 from around 8:30 am till 11 am. Got a very late start and also had a flat on teh way. Caught 39 total. Caught 15 before I caught one under 14”. Most all fish were caught on a 1/2 oz weight and 1/4” size with small double silver willow homemade spinnerbait. Caught 8 on 8 casts by the trees on the opposite side of ramp. Wind was howling and I was able to throw into the wind and they were hitting it as soon as it hit the water. Pretty neat and wore out my arms getting them through the weeds, Caught a few on rattletraps and a couple on plastics. It was whitecapping most of the morning and couldn’t fish plastics, spinnerbaits were much easier. Nice site but is in desperate need of water. It would also be a good to time to add structure around the banks with it so low. Boat looked usable but wind made it impossible to use. Will be great when fills back up.
