Fished Monday, May 30 with my friend and fellow club member Roger.We fished the East lake.
Got on the lake around 8:30am. First cast was rewarded with a strike but I missed him. Very windy all day but this lake is blessed with heavy woods on the south side so we were able to get out of it for a while.
Caught about 30 bass all together. All fish were 2 lbs and under. We caught fish all over the lake with almost any bait we threw. Had best luck on plastic worms. We fished the dam area for the last 30min. and caught about 5 there. I will start at the dam next time. Water was clear to 3 ft.
We met the landowner, Mr. Birt, as we were checking out the West lake. He was very hospotable and seemed glad we were there. He has a beautiful place that is a great addition to the club.
