Perfect 1/2 day with only a slight breeze until about 8:00am and then light winds for the rest of the morning. Zero bites along the shoreline, but about 25 total bass caught in the deepest points in the center of the lake. Our best strategy was starting the boat at the PVC pipe closest to the gate entrance and then drifting to the big pier. A total of 20 bass caught, almost all in the 16" to 20" range and a few in the 2-3lb range. Everything caught on soft plastics: dark olive, purple, and midnight sinko worms rigged wacky as well as black and dark purple worms on TX rig. Not much trouble with grass as described in earlier fishing reports. Love proximity to Dallas.
