Arrived around 7am to relatively calm conditions. Water was stained throughout the lake. Caught a fish on the second cast and proceeded to have constant action for 2 hours. Lots of missed fish, most of them on the black WP. At least half of the fish were caught in the far upper end where I had strikes on almost every cast. A few fish on the Rage Toad as follow up to a missed strike on the WP. Left the lake at 10am. Perfect morning fishing.

We had the same kind of experience yesterday at Timber Lake near Sulphur Springs yesterday morning - just an awesome top water morning. Best I can remember. I use Bass Forecast a lot and yesterday it pegged top water baits as the top bait for the day - man were they right. Welcome to the club.
