Started early and had a 5lb class bass blow up on a topwater on my third cast of the day. I thought that meant it was going to be an action-filled day of fishing but I was wrong.  Fished 7:00 AM - 1:30PM and did not land a fish. I threw everything at them with no success.  Drug crankbaits through the deep hole near the dam and the hump in the middle of the lake.  Hooked a big crappie but he got off at the boat.  Hot and humid with no breeze. Lake is somewhat murky and starting to turn pea green, might be some sort of algae bloom going on. Overall the lake seems set up to produce some big fish so I will be back. Great place to get away for a few hours.

Watch out for the snake that apparently likes to sleep under the boat. He was friendly but scared the **** out of me.
