It was a perfect mornig to wet a line and the fish where more than willing to play along. Light winds and clouds canvased the lake through most of the morning. I spent much of my time finesse fishing the middle of the lake using mainly senkos. There is a new 16” slot which I adhered to. The owner has a large wire float box(in the water) tied to the pier which made it simple to unload the shorties. The action was steady all morning and I left them biting. Ended up with 21 slot fish weighing 30 lbs. 7 of these fish were easily 2 pounders. Caught an additional 10 overs with 3 of those 19 - 20”. There is a ring of matted vegetation at the bank that covers the first 20 ft. and extends around the lake. I had no problems launching my kayak or paddling thru the thick stuff. The rest of the lake is open water. A bass buster with a decent trolling would have little trouble maneuvering this lake. This was one of my favorite PWF adventures to date.
