Arrived at daybreak..5:45. launch and immediately the fun started. Dead still and 64 degrees. First time to this lake. Awesome property. First trip around the lake, Scott Benson (member) and I caught 26. Great action along the dam. It was covered for about 15-20 ft from the dam with a thin layer of green pollen (or algae). The bass were hanging out out under that cover. Killing top water..ribbit frogs and senkos.we had 3 or 4 daily doubles. Lots of fish caught 3-5 ft from the boat….bass were definitely following the bait and striking late. We only culled 7. We caught 44 total. Nearly all the bass were between 2 & 2.5 lbs. Most caught on ribbits and soft plastics. Once the sun got up, the action really slowed, so we tried trolling with rattle traps. That worked really well, especially in an area about 30 yards from the boat launch and 30 yards from the dam. We had another 25-30 strikes along the shoreline around the lake that we missed on, or catch numbers would have been over 60.
