Today was my first PWF experience. It was only me (son stayed home) checking a property close to home. I was not disappointed and look forward to returning. Those bass were aggressive. They were slamming the Zara Spook early. I landed 3 and missed a couple more on the walking bait.  Unfortunately a fish drove a hook through my finger. I performed the necessary pull-through surgery on myself. In great pain afterward it was hard to fish, much less manage the boat as the wind picked up.  I did cast a bit more from the bank and landed a nice swimbait bass. Other than the loss of use in my finger for the next several days, I would call it a good day. I'll definitely be back. I will bring a different set of rods and lures now that I know how the grass stacks up. The grass is something to plan for at this location. All bass caught were over 14".
