My son and I fished the morning of 6/12 at Deer Trail.  It was slow at first, with a surprisingly slow topwater bite.  Once we started using wacky worms in an orange-pink color, the bites started coming.  Most fish were caught in the lilly pads, or deep in the thick vegetation that is forming in several areas of the lake.  We ended up boating a total of 22.  None were of any large size, and 15 were harvested per club harvest requirements of 14” and under .  Boat was good, property is clean, water visibility is about 3 feet.  All in all, a fun morning spent with my son!
