Hit the lake at 5:00pm and saw almost non-stop action until about 7:00pm. Caught fish early just off boat ramp, along the dam and on the farside bank near the submerged trees. The most action and largest fish were caught near the submerged trees in the center of the lake. 10 fish in the 3-5lb range, all on a peanut butter and jelly swimjig with a dark olive trailer,caught just off trees. Caught roughly 20 bass in the 10-14" range which would have normally been culled. All of the larger fish looked healthy, except 3 which were long, but quite skinny. Fishing picked up again at about 8:15pm, when the wind totally died down. We fished the banks with a whopper plopper and had a lot of fun seeing fish attack topwater. 3 or 4 hit the lure on contact with the water. A beautiful Texas sunset finished off a great day of fishing on a terrific lake and surrounding property.
