Being a new member, my 6 year old son and I went out to Lancaster this morning. Also recently purchased a bass buster and it was a great day to break it in as well. Anyhow, we got on the water just after 6am and right off the bat we killed them with topwater baits. After the topwater bite slowed, we found them with spinners and swimbaits. We got off the water just after 11:30a and totaled 20 with 11 being harvested. The other 9 nice were all decent sized fish that appeared to be eating well. The biggest was just over 19” and went for about 3 - 3.5 lbs. We caught many in the 2-3 lb range. The wind wasn’t too bad and overall it was a great day!!! Looking forward to fishing many more of these jewels of properties in the near future.

Billy,

Welcome aboard. Thank you for taking the time to post a report and to harvest fish. Both are huge in the success of PWF. We feel blessed to be able to lease a 40 acre lake only 20 miles south of downtwown Dallas. Finding water this large, that fishes this well, is huge for the club.

My friend and I have a buster boat.  Do you have a trailer or pick up?  A 6 yr. old could not load it.  How did you carry it and load it by yourself.  This may become a problem for us and I would like to know how you did this.

I have a truck, no trailer. What I did was, unload everything from the boat when I load and unload it on the truck. This makes it much lighter. I first put one end on the truck bed, then pick up the other end and slide it in. Malouf is the only lake that I have been to so far and it has a pretty decent ramp leading into the lake. I got as close to the water as I could, unloaded the boat, slid it in the water, loaded the battery, trolling motor and everything else, including my son, slid the boat in the water as far as I could and then pushed off with my oar. Hope this helps!
