Enjoyed fishing this lake and it didnt disappoint. Grass is plentiful and found fish each place I expected to. Deep water, 17ft held nice fish on soft plastics.
The fish are healthy and we threw larger baits to limit the smaller fish and that technique worked well. We did have 2 crappie 15" caught in the channel and a nice 3# catfish destroyed my swim shad as well.
The owner stopped by at the end of the day to say hello, nice of him! Will definitly return here!

Congrats on a good trip to Slaughter. I have fished there a few times, but have never done very well in the deep water. What did you fish with and how did you fish the deep water? Thanks for the help.
